Sometimes your dog might need special attention and care:

  • Administration of multiple medications,
  • Preparation of a special diet,
  • Specific geriatric care, or
  • Post-surgery recuperation and relaxation.

Over the years, we have supported and cared for numerous canine guests who have required special treatment.   Helping a dog through a difficult time is one of the aspects of Rover's Ranch that we find most rewarding.

We recommend that you bring your dog’s own food to avoid gastrointestinal issues caused by a sudden change in diet.

You may bring your dog’s own bed or use one of our kennel cushions.

If you have more than one dog, let us know whether you would like them to share a kennel or each have their own.  At feeding time, dogs in the same kennel can be fed separately to avoid any food-related tension.

Do you need any special arrangements for your dog?    Please just ask us!

ROVER'S RANCH      REQUIREMENTS

When you bring your dog into a social setting, you always want to make sure your dog is fully protected.  Our “requirements” below, help make sure you are not leaving your dog vulnerable to sickness or parasites!
Picture
We require proof of current vaccinations:
  • DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis,  leptospirosis, parvo and para influenza)
  • Bordetella (kennel cough)
  • Rabies
The INITIAL DHLPP  and Rabies vaccinations must be administered at least two weeks before your dog is boarded at Rover's Ranch.   Booster shots can be administered up to a couple of days before boarding.

We require parasite protection:
  • We recommend a topical treatment such as Advantage or Frontline (or a generic topical product with the active ingredient of Fipronil).

We don’t want to have a single guest dog exposed to the hazards or annoyance associated with fleas, ticks or lice
.

We also are committed to safeguarding the health of all our kennel guests and reserve the right to decline boarding a dog that is exhibiting symptoms of a contagious canine virus, such as coughing, runny nose or eyes, vomiting or diarrhea, or lack of energy or appetite.

Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have about this.
